By any measure, cloud hosted workloads dominated the discussion in enterprise Java development in 2016. While there is no replacement for the application logic you write, there are ways to expedite and strengthen the architecture and operational push of your logic into hosted environments. In this talk, we look a four different cloud tactics, in increasing levels of sophistication and clarity of vision, to get your JVM workloads up, deployed, and humming smoothly in the cloud. We won’t pick favorites, however we’ll share what we sweated through with each of the four tactics throughout 2016. We’ll discuss findings and thoughts over what works, and what we feel is super slick for 2017.
