However, using bytecodes and a managed runtime in the form of the JVM can lead to issues with how quickly an application can start. This is especially relevant to IoT devices that need to start working as soon as they are powered up. To help solve this problem, Azul has developed additional functionality for the Zulu Embedded Java product called Checkpoint/Restore.
