Garbage collection can be painful, impact performance and stability, and can even take down entire clusters. In this talk, to be presented at ApacheCon by Azul Sales Engineer Caroline George, she will cover the five most common reasons for GC in Apache Cassandra. She’ll discuss ways to address these issues and show how to monitor clusters going forward to avoid running into GC problems.
Caroline helps Azul customers increase performance and provide stability for their JVM at Azul. She holds a BA in Computer Science from NYU and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.
