Another six months have passed, and, just like clockwork, we have a new release of Java SE. Compared to other versions, this will look like quite a feature-light release, but there’s still a lot that’s interesting.

In this Tech Talk, we examine the seven new JDK Enhancement Proposals (JEPs) included in JDK 20. Even though these are either preview features or incubator modules, the Java platform is still moving forward. For example, JEP 429, Scoped Values, part of Project Loom, is new and of particular interest.

We also look at some minor changes to the core class libraries so that by the end of the session, you’ll be ready to use the latest and greatest Java features.
