Doug will present “ReadyNow: Azul’s Unconventional ‘AOT” – with the inclusion of an Ahead-Of-Time (AOT) compiler in OpenJDK 9, there’s renewed interest in AOT solutions for Java, but all Java AOTs are bound to face some inherent challenges posed by the Java language and language ecosystem. This talk is about the unconventional approach Azul Systems took to solving these inherent challenges.
