Australia’s largest electricity distributor, Ausgrid estimated its Oracle Java exposure, should they be audited, could cost as much as $700,000 per year. Ausgrid needed a future-proof solution to eliminate licensing exposure and audit anxiety while maintaining stability across their Java estate.
Azul’s proof-of-concept (POC) deployments gave Ausgrid confidence that migrating to an OpenJDK alternative was the right approach and moving off Oracle Java wouldn’t cause disruption.
