Azul Systems® Achieves Record Results in Third Quarter

Mountain View, CA, November 30, 2010  – Azul Systems, the award-winning leader in scalable, reliable platforms for business-critical Java™ applications, today announced record revenue for its third quarter fiscal year 2011, ended Oct 31, 2010. The company achieved its highest recognized Q3 revenue in its history, up 67% compared with the prior year. Azul continues to win business with Global 2000 companies, including Belk, Inc., the nation’s largest privately owned mainline department store company, and IntraLinks, a leading provider of SaaS-based critical information exchange solutions, and renewed business from Farmers Insurance, SuccessFactors, and Saks.com. Azul also expanded its global partner ecosystem in Q3, adding reseller partnerships with Agilysys, FusionStorm and Hub City Media.

During the third quarter, Azul also announced the general availability of its Zing Platform, the industry’s first software-only elastic runtime platform for Java applications. Offering consistently fast response times regardless of load and eliminating Java scaling limitations such as garbage collection, Zing shatters Java scalability barriers and enables existing Java applications to smoothly and reliably scale to dozens of CPU cores and hundreds of gigabytes of memory. Zing is also optimized for use in Cloud and virtualized environments.

“Our continued record results and customer and partner growth indicate how critical our products are to enterprises around the world,” said Scott Sellers, President and CEO of Azul Systems. “Business requirements placed on Java applications have changed dramatically, requiring high scale, massive throughput and unquestioned reliability. And, at the same time, enterprises are demanding increased deployment flexibility to utilize virtualization and Clouds. These trends are driving the adoption of Azul’s solutions and fueling our market momentum.”
