Azul Intelligence Cloud The Powerful Analytics Solution That Boosts DevOps Efficiency with Insights from Production Java Runtime Data from Any JVM

The Azul Inspector Java environment checker is a Java program designed to collect information about a target Java application and its server environment. Developers, IT, and performance engineers can use Azul Inspector to quickly determine the JDK version in use, maximum heap size setting, and the values of other setup variables.

Azul Inspector is complementary to the jHiccup open source performance measurement tool. jHiccup shows that a hiccup or variation in application response time occurred, while Azul Inspector will automatically find and report the System Qualification data for all JVMs on the system and for any JDK version. Azul Inspector can be run either from a desktop or on the target server itself. Note that in the latest version of Azul Inspector you do not need to use different commands if you are using JMX.

For companies pursuing a managed Azul Platform Prime trial evaluation, these data can accelerate your trial process flow if they are shared with an Azul engineer for analysis. To be clear — you control all the output from Azul Inspector — no data is transferred to Azul without your permission.

Azul is also committed to keeping your data confidential. Inspector output shared with Azul will not be provided to any third parties.

The Monitor scripts included in the Zip file can be used to monitor your Java runtime environment during testing.

  • Run the “” script (please run it as sudo/root or as the application owner)
  • If you are planning an Azul Platform Prime trial, email the AzulSystemQual.log file back to Azul for analysis
