Eclipse Foundation

The Eclipse Foundation (Eclipse), is a community for individuals and organizations who wish to collaborate on commercially-friendly open source software. Its projects are focused on building an open development platform comprised of extensible frameworks, tools and runtimes for building, deploying and managing software across the lifecycle. The Eclipse Foundation is a not-for-profit, member supported corporation that hosts the Eclipse projects and helps cultivate both an open source community and an ecosystem of complementary products and services.

As a Solution-level member of the Eclipse Foundation, Azul will be actively participating in the Eclipse Foundation’s IoT working group. Azul’s latest open source offering, Zulu® Embedded, provides developers and manufacturers in the embedded, mobile and Internet of Things (IoT) markets with a robust, flexible open source alternative to traditional embedded Java implementations.

"Azul Systems is 100% focused on Java and Java runtime technology which supports our objective of establishing a Java platform for IoT, targeted at connecting and managing devices. The expertise it brings to the community will encourage developers to harvest the productivity benefits of Java and accelerate the widespread adoption of the language throughout the IoT."
